China Press: Fukien American Benevolent Association endorses Manhattan DA candidate Weinstein

Manhattan DA candidate Tali Farhadian Weinstein was endorsed by Fukien American Benevolent Association and Councilman Peter Koo on May 11 when she visited the Association, accompanied by Hugh Mo.

Chairman Keith Cheng said that Weinstein immigrated to the U.S. when she was four years old. She graduated from Yale Law School and has a lot of experience working in the judicial system. He encouraged all members to vote for her in the Jun 22 primary.

Koo said that Manhattan is America’s financial and cultural center, which makes its DA’s office particularly important. Since the Pandemic, homeless and hate crimes have become major problems and many people are afraid to go out. With her rich experience, Weinstein will reform the criminal justice system and make sure all criminals pay for their crimes.

Hugh pointed out that Weinstein is the best qualified among all eight candidates. Her immigrant background gives her an understanding of Chinese Americans’ needs.
