NEW YORK – To kick off Women\u2019s History Month, Tali Farhadian Weinstein, <\/span>candidate<\/span><\/a> for Manhattan District Attorney, announced the endorsement of Ruth Messinger \u2013 famed social justice activist, former Manhattan Borough President, and first woman nominated by the Democratic party to run for mayor of New York.<\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cNew York needs a capable, compassionate, and experienced leader to guide us out of the dislocations the pandemic has caused. Tali is the woman to meet the moment. Her experience across American legal institutions and her commitment to advancing equity and justice are unparalleled,\u201d <\/span>said Ruth Messinger.<\/strong> \u201cIn the Brooklyn District Attorney\u2019s Office, she played an integral role in implementing a criminal justice reform agenda. I am confident she will bring her insights from that experience to Manhattan. I am so proud to endorse and help elect Manhattan\u2019s first woman and first immigrant District Attorney elected.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
